I take your point — opinion survey is not an ideal description. It is, however, one that I think most people can understand, whereas the finer points of scientific surveys are far more nuanced. As well as that, the small, biased sample that you have so far engaged is clearly not enough to prove causation.

If only, there was a single media outlet that had picked up on this. Instead, there were a slew of stories that came as close to outright recommending low-carb diets for people with diabetes while still keeping their legal teams happy as possible.

As a piece of formative research, I honestly enjoyed your paper. Working in diabetes prevention/management myself, I look forward to the larger trials.
